A long forgotten memory
returned within a dream
held the sleeping hands of your enemy
when the moon began to scream
you wrote my name in a puddle
watched as the ripples washed it away
Was it the beginning of your struggle?
to your ignorance you prayed
You stood fierce upon the altar
the fire made you feel alone
only shadows you have brought to the slaughter
As you wept upon the stone
Ugliness raised her head
when you stare into the mirror
with the waking light returns the sleepless dread
Your truth you slowly drew nearer
