POETRY ICONS: POETESS VINEETHA MEKKOTH'S PAGE: 1

BY
POETESS VINEETHA MEKKOTH

There’s an ice-cold chill
at the bottom of
the pit
threatening
to scale up
and spread out
engulfing
swallowing
warmth
light
threatening
to spread
darkness
(comfort)?
To drown
to let
the claws
takeover
to be torn
apart
to be
nothing
